New Schools for Alabama’s 2024 CSP subgrant competition officially opens on June 27, 2024!
HOW TO APPLY
To request an application, please fill out this Application Request Form.
All requests will be screened for eligibility within 5 business days. Eligible applicants will receive an application package, and ineligible applications will receive an email communication explaining ineligibility. For eligibility guidelines, please refer to the Request for Applications document.
An informational session will be held on Thursday, June 27th from 1pm-2pm CT.
A Budget Webinar to support applicants in creating the required CSP budget will be held on July 11th from 10am-11am CT.
Applications will be due on July 31, 2024, with Award announcements made by September 20, 2024.
New Schools for Alabama is looking for Qualified Peer Reviewers
New Schools for Alabama is kicking off the seventh round of its CSP subgrant application, and we are looking for qualified peer reviewers to be a part of the process.
Reviewers will be required to engage in training, including one video to be viewed asynchronously, a review of the updated RFA and rubric, and one 1-2-hour live training on Zoom.
Reviewers will be responsible for reviewing up to 4 CSP subgrant applications and will be compensated $500 per application for completion of all peer reviewer responsibilities inclusive of required training, scoring, and capacity interview participation for each application.

Peer Reviewer Training: TBD depending on team availability (before 7/31)

Applicant Interviews: September 9-11
*Note that while reviewers will only be responsible for attending 3-4 prep times and 3-4 interviews, they will need to hold all three full days until these slots are scheduled with schools the week of 8/5/2024. Reviewers must be online and in front of a computer to prepare for interviews, engage with schools, and write and edit feedback on the applications.
